Losing a loved one is always painful, and how you say Goodbye is an important part of your grieving process.
Imagine being able to say your Goodbyes in whatever way you wish, with no constraint on time or words, in a beautiful and peaceful setting….
At The Wellbeing Farm, working in conjunction with Independent Celebrants, we are able to offer just that.
We offer a venue which is completely unique and special – the perfect place for your memorial service, funeral or funeral reception.
Located amongst the beautiful Lancashire countryside, the farm provides the perfect tranquil venue, privacy, amazing views, peace and opportunities for reflection, yet at the same times provides a welcome and respectful service tailored to your needs.
We understand that a funeral reception is first and foremost a celebration of an individual’s life and their unique human values and attributes. As a result our venue is flexible and adaptable enough to accommodate the type of funeral service you’d like.
Whether you’d prefer a quiet, reflective and personal reception, or a lively celebration of the person’s life, we can personalise your experience accordingly. Your Celebrant will work closely with family and friends; they will listen to your stories, and will then write a ceremony that reflects the character of your loved one. The service may also include music, songs, poems, prayers, or readings, you are free to include whatever is important to you, as you say Farewell. .
With a fully licensed bar with pub prices and wonderful food produced using home grown and local produce whenever possible, we aim to provide a memorable service.
We work closely with local celebrants and funeral directors to deliver a venue for personalised Celebrant led funerals which celebrate the life lived.
When you book The Wellbeing Farm, our venue will be exclusive to you – nobody else will be at the venue except your friends, family and guests – this enables our venue to be decorated to your taste and personally tailored to you.
Our venue is fully licensed and holds up to 250 guests within a variety of different settings.

“We recently had a wake at The Wellbeing Farm following my Grandma's funeral. From the moment I enquired, up until the wake, we were treated with kindness and respect. Nothing was too much to ask even when dates and numbers changed a few times.
We had decided on an afternoon tea as my Grandma loved going out for tea and cakes, and it seemed fitting to remember her this way. We were encouraged to choose 'special' things to add to the afternoon tea and nothing seemed too much trouble. Even children-sized afternoon teas were available.
On the day, the ambience set at Wellbeing was just right, sombre but not too sad. The staff were incredibly attentive, but not intrusive. The room looked lovely and the table settings were so pretty. The food was beautiful both in appearance and taste.
We were made aware from the outset that we were not going to be rushed, as we had the room for the afternoon. This meant that we could relax and catch up with family, some of whom we hadn't seen for quite some time. Our children were kept amused looking at the animals and running around 'letting off steam'!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wellbeing Farm as a venue for a wake”.
