MEET OUR TEAM

Hi I’m Celia and I’m the Managing Director and Founder of The Wellbeing Farm

When did you start working at The Wellbeing Farm?

I started researching the concept of a wellbeing farm in 2010 and we opened around in 2013 so I’ve been here from the very early stages.

What do you love about working at The Wellbeing Farm?

The freedom, excitement and the fact that no day is literally never the same. I absolutely love doing what I do and it never feels like work – I am so lucky!

Why are our events and weddings so special?

We put so much care and thought into our weddings and events that we now have adopted key criteria into our business which we apply to everything “Is it magical, fun and will it make a customer happy”? Having the customers’ happiness at the heart of our events and weddings is why they are so special.

For you, what are the three key things which are essential to a great experience?

Oh it has got to be amazing food, plenty of alcohol and crazy dancing with great music.

When did you start working here?

March 2016

What do you love about working here?

Every day is different and it’s a new challenge. The people I work with make it a great team spirit.

Why are our events and weddings so special?

The unique surroundings - there’s nothing like it in the area.

For you, what are the key 3 things which are essential to a great experience?

People, Product and Performance. All three need to go together to deliver that memorable experience.

Gilly Hoy - Wedding and Events Manager

Hi please introduce yourself..

Hi I’m Gilly and I am the Wedding and Events Manager. I see that each event runs smoothly.

When did you start working at The Wellbeing Farm

May 2015

What do you love about working  at The Wellbeing Farm?

I love working with the bride and groom closely and making their day bespoke and special to them. I also love the variety of work I do, no day is the same and you never know who is going to walk through the door or what is going to happen – it keeps us on our toes.

Why are our events and weddings so special?

They really are catered to each and every person and are very personal. I love the quirkiness and fun vibe of the weddings especially and its unique and totally like no other venue around.

For you, what are the three key things which are essential to a great experience?

Great customer service

Lots of fun

Fabulous memories

Rachel Cleary – Wedding and Events Coordinator

When did you start working at The Wellbeing Farm?

I started working here in September 2016 although it feels like I’ve worked here much longer! (in a good way!)

What do you love about working at The Wellbeing Farm?

I love how laid back and relaxed the place feels. It’s so different from the 9-5 environment where I worked previously. No two days are the same and you never know what lies ahead – whether it’s an escapee llama or members of staff having a go on a bucking sheep at a wedding! Celia is so passionate about the Wellbeing Farm – and rightfully so – but this extends to her constantly looking for new ideas and new ways to improve the Farm and bring even more fun and excitement to the couples who chose to get married here!

Why are our events and weddings so special?

Having researched wedding venues when I got married myself, the key thing I noticed when I started working at the Wellbeing Farm is that the weddings here really are tailored to the couple’s wishes and thought is always given to making the day fit the couple’s personality. There isn’t the ‘conveyor belt feel’ I found when looking around venues, and having the exclusivity of the whole venue is something that I think is really special – particularly with such beautiful surroundings to enjoy.

For you, what are the three key things which are essential to a great experience?

1. Making everyone feel welcome and relaxed - young and old!

2. Good food – and lots of it!

3. A great party atmosphere to create a wedding to remember!

When did you start working at the Farm?

I started working at The Wellbeing Farm in September 2016.

What do you love about working at The Wellbeing Farm?

It has to be the variation no day is ever the same you never know who is going to walk through the door! The pizza oven is definitely a perk – The Pizzas are amazing!!

Why are our events and Weddings so special?

The Weddings are so special at The Wellbeing Farm because each Wedding is bespoke and always matches the personality of the bride and groom – Its lovely to see so many couples get their dream day.

Essentials to a great experience?

Fabulous food and drinks – lots of Prosecco!

A magical atmosphere.

Staff that go the extra mile.

Chefs, Butchers and Waiting On Team

Critical to a successful event is having a great team and our Chef’s and Waiting On Team are absolutely central to everything we do. We employ a range of local people who are passionate about the farm and the quality of the food we serve. We have a whole team of chef’s and butchers who specialise in running our various cookery and butchery courses and producing our amazing food. The waiting on team are recruited for personality to ensure customer service is given the highest priority.

What do you love about working at The Wellbeing Farm?

The quality of the food you have to cook with and the fact that the farm has its own Butcher’s. The ambience and variety of the weddings makes working here great fun. I prefer waiting on at a wedding than a night out!

Why are our events and weddings so special?

They are so different to other functions we usually catered for – having locally sourced ingredients, a mass of edible flowers and home grown herbs making cooking at the farm hugely enjoyable – the quality of the food really does underpin the place.

For you, what are the three key things which are essential to a great experience?

Quality food and plenty of it, great friendly staff and lots of fun…

Pete Vose

I’m Pete and my role at the farm is looking after all the gardening, caretaking  and of course the animals.

When did you start working here?

February 2017

What do you love about working at The Wellbeing Farm?

The variety and breadth of the role and working with unique animals – Llamas.

Why are our events and weddings so special?

Where else would you find a bowtie wearing Llama at a wedding – it’s memorable!

For you, what are the three key things which are essential to a great experience?

Quality Beer

Fabulous views with a great countryside setting

Quirky features – like Llamas and Donkeys!
