Spring has officially arrived – we can hear the cries of “FINALLY” all the way up the moors, and it is little wonder: a season of new life, when the weather starts to get (slightly) better, it’s when wedding season fully starts for us at The Wellbeing Farm!
A personal favorite time of year for me personally, it’s when everything’s green, flowers are shooting up and our Tipi is put back up after a long break over the winter. It’s also when my birthday is as well, which helps! 😉
It’s a great time of year to get married, as it offers great flexibility on many things, including your theme: both pastel and bright colours work in this season. We’ve got plenty of props in both sets of colours, including our bunting and paper lanterns that you can hang from our ceiling in the Wedding Barn.
For your flowers, this is the season to go all out, whether you’re going for pale pastels or bright and bold shades – we have many quirky and different jars that will make them stand out – if your florist wants a challenge, we even have milk churns! If you want to go further, how about a flower crown instead of a veil?
Another big highlight of Spring, is of course, Easter! You may not want chicks and rabbits everywhere for your decoration, but we can offer a couple of ideas if you’re planning to get married round this time: why not put your Bridesmaids flowers in small baskets, or offer chocolate eggs in with the favors! For children, Easter-themed activity packs are available! We’ve also seen a very unique idea for a table plan following the Easter theme – the Bride and Groom had stuck a small flag with the guests name on in a Crème Egg; so, everyone also got a sweet treat even before they got to the table! 😊
For decoration, as it is the season of new life, it’s the perfect time for birds and butterflies to pop up, so why not something bird or butterfly themed for your favours? We also hold butterfly table name/number holders for that extra touch. As well as some animal touches, we also have plenty of rustic themed props, from our Post Box, to our ever-popular log slices – to go down your aisle or hold up your centerpieces.
Your photographer can also have some beautiful shots during Spring – whether that be in the flower-laden woods of our Barons Farm Bridal Suite, tossing flower petals (a great Spring version of an Autumn classic) or taking advantage of any April showers, and having you and your friends with wellies and umbrellas.
I could go on all day about the possibilities, but I don’t want to risk boring you to death – so let these ideas be used as a base for your Spring wedding with us.
