What are we doing about it?

We are working to reduce the venue’s carbon footprint, improve our waste management, and implement circular economy methods all whilst bringing people closer to nature in the process. We have also ensured that the wind turbine is fully operational and so the majority of the electricity we use is completely sustainable.

We are constantly thinking of new and inventive ways to be ecological and to help us with this, we have sought guidance from sustainability researcher Leah Bennett from the Centre for Global Eco-Innovation who has designed our Green Wedding Package, conducted an audit of each area of the business, and worked to propose and implement a greener method of running, such as banning all single-use plastic by 2025. This was done to ensure that the Wellbeing Farm could once again secure the Gold Tourism Award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme. Leah also worked in collaboration with Catherine Weetman, bestselling author of A Circular Economy Handbook for Business and Supply Chains: Repair, Remake, Redesign, Rethink to help to build our projects thoroughly and accurately.

We want to share the work we do to inspire our guests as well as other businesses. To do this, we publish blogs focusing on the area of research we have been exploring and investigate how these practices can be adopted in our everyday lives and those of our readers.
