What you can do
As a business promoting environmental sustainability, The Wellbeing Farm endeavours to minimise and reduce its impact on the environment.
Whether you’re a guest, please help us achieve our goals by remembering these guidelines:
What you can do as a guest at our Venue
Leave the car behind
When travelling to our Farm, consider public transport such as trains, coaches or buses, or even walk or cycle if you can
Please do not litter
Please either put any rubbish in one of our bins or take it home with you.
We have separate bins for general waste, recycling and compost/food waste; please ensure you put any waste into the correct bin
Please don’t leave any taps running
When using the toilets, please do not place anything other than loo roll down the toilet as any other product will block our water treatment plant
When drying your hands, please do not use excessive hand towels
Respect the animals
Treat them as you would like to be treated yourself. Handle carefully, do not aggravate and appreciate that from time to time they too need their privacy
Please Smoke in the Shelter
If you smoke, please put the cigarette butts in the correct holders in our smoking shelter
Strictly no Fireworks
Please respect that we don’t support fireworks, as they scare our animals
More Guidelines
We ask you to respect our aim to eradicate single-use plastic in our business and that you do not use the following things during your wedding:
- Plastic glittery sprinkles
- Non-bio-degradable confetti
- Balloons
- Sky lanterns
- Plastic water bottles
- Plastic cups
- Disposable decorations
- Products and favours which contain a lot of plastic packaging
At Christmas, please respect we don’t support the use of Christmas crackers – too much single-use plastic
Use local suppliers where possible
Be a greener couple, buy preloved
Maybe you don’t fancy a second-hand wedding dress but wedding decor is a great place to start: https://www.sellmywedding.co.uk/

Electrical Equipment
If you need electrical appliances (eg: phone charger, DJ equipment), please ensure you turn off any plugs once you have finished with them.
If you are the last person to leave a room, please turn off the lights
Think when you Eat
If you need to use the kettle, please only fill to however much you need. You don’t always need to fill it up to the brim.
Had a banana for dinner? You can feed the skins to the donkeys instead of them going in the bin!
Respect the Animals
Treat them as you would like to be treated yourself. Handle carefully, do not aggravate and appreciate that from time to time they too need their privacy
