Barons Farm Wedding House Accommodation
Welcome to Barons Farm Wedding House – set in the beautiful Lancashire countryside.
As well as being blessed with such an array of options for places to stay, we appreciate that often a wedding party are looking for a place to stay at the venue the night before the wedding, and a couple often wish to spend their first night together as a married couple at their venue or in accommodation on the doorstep – hence our Wedding House.
That’s why we have Barons Farm; our exclusive gated Wedding House set in acres of stunning grounds down a winding, private driveway just a stone’s throw away from The Wellbeing Farm. Now I will be honest, if you are looking for the glitz and glam of a posh upmarket hotel this isn’t for you. Barons Farm is very in keeping with our venue, and can best be described as an old world country house adorned with traditional decoration and a homely feel. Barons Farm is booked out to you exclusively – it has two bedrooms (a twin and a double which has an en-suite shower room) but the owners are so delightful that if you ask them nicely, they will allow extra guests to stay with you on camp beds – perfect for sharing the night before your wedding with your bridesmaids!
Wedding packages include:
- The use of the entire annexe (2 bathrooms, large lounge and private terrace and garden area), so there is plenty of room for all the party to get ready.
- Flowers and a bottle of Prosecco in the Bridal Suite.
- Full access to all the beautiful mature landscaped gardens and lawns for photographs for the duration of your stay.
- Tea, coffee and fruit juices for the bridal party, and parties attending to the bride.
- Breakfast, either continental or full ‘Lancashire’, for the guests staying overnight.
The Guest Accommodation and Facilities
Our guest accommodation isn’t just a room, it’s a whole annexe building, which comprises a double master bedroom, a twin guest bedroom, a huge lounge and dining area, a large bathroom and toilet, a second toilet and three showers (yes, really 3!). There is also your own private outdoor terrace and garden area, and even a tennis court, all surrounded by stunning mature landscaped gardens.
Master Bedroom (Dell View Bedroom) A double room equipped with a large shower, its own sink and plenty of wardrobe space.
Twin Bedroom (Garden View Bedroom) – twin beds with wardrobe and large mirror – perfect for bridesmaids!
Main Bathroom complete with large curved shower and a bath
Lounge – The huge, airy lounge area included is a wedding preparation dream! The French doors make you feel like you are getting ready in the middle of an enchanted Disney forest, and the natural light that beams through into the lounge is just perfect for that pre-wedding preparation and every make-up artists fantasy! There is plenty of room for everyone to gather around; which we think is much better than being cramped in a hotel room with little natural light and air! The tea will be continually flowing (which I might add served from the best china!) too.
Grounds – Aside from the traditional furnishings of the old grandfather clock and the quirky patterned carpet, you then also get the most extraordinary outside space. Not only do you get the long and winding driveway, there is a lake (with resident ducks), an overgrown vintage tennis court, steps down to a wood with a babbling brook running through and mature gardens and shrubbery that would make Alan Titchmarsh proud. We often suggest to couples that if they wanted to return to Barons Farm during their drinks reception with their photographer, they would get some incredible shots. It also gives you a bit of time together as a newly married couple where you can really take a moment to take it all in – the day will just go so quickly!
Breakfast and Refreshments
The owners are quite possibly the most charming couple you will ever meet (fact) and will go the extra mile to make your stay as perfect as possible. Their home cooked English breakfast gives our Chef Karl a run for his money, and they will even treat you on the morning of your wedding with a fridge full of snacks and a bottle of fizz!
They serve a continental or traditional Lancashire breakfast using locally sourced ingredients from Whiteheads Butchers, which can be tailored to your requirements.
At £360.00 for a two-night stay (includes the use of both bedrooms and breakfast!) it really is great value for money and with only being just down the road from us, it is one less thing for you to worry about in the lead up to your big day.
At no extra charge, the owner Edward will put on his chauffeur suit and top hat ready to transport you and your wedding party to The Wellbeing Farm in his 4x4 if you wish, an offer you will find hard to refuse. In addition for every couple staying at Barons Farm, included in the price is the transportation to The Wellbeing Farm for the bridal party and we will also bring the couple back at 1am – just another thing to not have to worry about….
The per night rate is for the entire annexe, and use of the private guest terrace and garden for up to four adults.
NOTE: The bedrooms are on the upper floor, and there is no lift, so the accommodation is not suitable for people in wheelchairs or with poor mobility.
The owners do not have card facilities, so payment must be made by cash on arrival.
Sorry, but they don’t allow pets.
Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation.
There is free Wi-Fi available to use, which is strongest in the dining area. Unfortunately, with their thick walls, the Wi-Fi signal doesn’t reach the bedrooms.
I don’t think we have ever been this well looked after anywhere else.
