You all know that The Wellbeing Farm is a green and sustainable venue: it’s so important to us to run weddings and events that are friendly to the environment. You may now be thinking that I’m going to tell you how our accommodation is eco-friendly; and while I COULD, this is not what I want to say.
Because being sustainable has a secondary meaning, a human one at that. It’s to support the local community and businesses or put another way, our corporate social responsibility. This is where accommodation comes in.
Our Farmhouse offers a luxury stay for 6 guests and Barons Farm can offer accommodation for 4 people, but one of the questions we get asked often for both weddings and corporate events, is whether we offer more rooms on site? We don’t as we prefer to support the local economy and see this as our duty towards corporate social responsibility.
It may seem at first that we’re in the middle of nowhere with no places to stay for miles around, but in fact that couldn’t be further from the truth! We’re in fact surrounded by places to stay, many of which are local farms that have converted into B+Bs!
In fact…..:
- Within a 5 mile radius there are 126 rooms (with approximately over 200 beds)!
- Within a 10 mile radius of The Wellbeing Farm there are over 350 rooms (with approximately 600+ beds)!!!
See what we mean!
As you can understand, as there are so many choices for places to stay and we want to support local businesses as much as we can, this is why we do not offer additional accommodation.
