At The Wellbeing Farm, we believe every guest should feel welcome, supported and included. Our venue has been fully assessed by AccessAble, who visited in person to produce a detailed report covering entrances, toilets, parking, navigation, and accessibility across all barns and spaces.

Overview

The Wellbeing Farm is a multi-purpose, countryside venue designed for weddings, corporate events, parties and celebrations of all kinds. We offer:

  • Step-free access to most main areas

  • Designated safe spaces

  • Accessible toilets and baby changing

  • Range of indoor and outdoor seating

  • Assistance available from trained staff

Our full AccessAble audit confirms where we provide step-free access, where slopes or ramps are used, and where steps are still present within older outbuildings.

Parking & Arrival
Blue Badge Parking

  • 3 Blue Badge bays available for disabled users only

  • Located approx. 5 metres from the Wheatsheaf Bar entrance

  • Bays are signposted (no line markings)

  • Surfaces include loose chippings and gravel

General Access Information

  • Free parking for all visitors

  • Step-free routes available with slight slopes

  • EV charging point on site (app required; controls may be high for wheelchair users)

Drop-Off Point

  • Designated drop-off zone located at the rear of the Wheatsheaf Barn by the ramped entrance

  • No dropped kerb from this point

Getting Around the Venue

The venue offers:

  • Step-free access into most main barns and function rooms

  • Ramped access to the Wheatsheaf Barn (rear ramp)

  • Lift access within the Events Barn for internal level changes

  • Manual doors throughout

  • Uneven surfaces in outdoor areas and certain outbuildings

Areas with stepped access:

  • Llama Lounge (3 steps)

  • Dream Hub (2 steps)

  • The Snug (15 steps to upper level)

Assistance, Support & Facilities

We provide:

  • Seating throughout the venue

  • Assistance from trained staff (Fire Safety, First Aid, Disability Awareness)

  • Mobility scooter charging on request

  • A designated Safe Space in the Llama Lounge for guests with autism, dementia or learning disabilities

  • Water bowl available for assistance dogs

  • Free Wi-Fi

There is no hearing loop currently installed.

Toilets & Changing Facilities
Accessible Toilets

We have two accessible toilets, both with step-free access:

  1. Near Wheatsheaf Barn (Left-hand transfer)

  2. Near Events Barn (Right-hand transfer)

Both include:

  • Wide entrance doors

  • Grab rails with clear visual contrast

  • Emergency pull cords (noted as tied up at time of survey – now checked weekly)

  • Space for wheelchair manoeuvring

  • Baby changing facilities

  • Male & female toilets near Wheatsheaf Barn and Events Barn

  • Gender-inclusive toilet located in The Snug

  • Adapted shower available near the Wheatsheaf Barn

  • Located approx. 30–40m from Wheatsheaf Bar

  • Step-free access including use of lift

  • Some stepped access inside bar area

  • Doors often held open during events

  • Step-free access

  • Bar counter height: 117cm

  • Assistance available for ordering

  • Table service available on request

  • Menus displayed on counter

  • Dietary requirements catered for including gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegetarian and vegan

Events Barn Bar

  • Step-free access to bar area (lift may be required)

  • Bar counter height: 112cm

  • Assistance available for ordering

  • Table service available upon request
