Celia – Founder and Managing Director
Celia previously worked in the NHS as an Area Director and is also a qualified florist, chef, wedding planner and stress manager (hence the name of The Wellbeing Farm). Having previously managed large strategic projects in the NHS and mergers across NHS organisations, creating and building The Wellbeing Farm was her next great challenge and she has written a book about her journey entitled ‘Why Put a Bow Tie on a Llama?’, available to buy now.
“I absolutely love my life and job at the farm. The excitement of waking up and going next door, doing a job I love means so much to me and I am so very grateful for this. I’ve put everything into creating an environment and a family business which I hope couples love as much as I do.”
Stephen – Director
Stephen is our director and also the owner of Whitehead’s Butchers which has been trading for over 130 years! Stephen created the Edgworth Brew Co., our microbrewery, and is also the owner of Wheatsheaf Hill Farm, the home of The Wellbeing Farm.
“I am so proud of the transformation of the farm into what you see today when you visit. I’ll admit, it was once quite neglected and the amount of research, thought, effort, and patience which has gone into transforming the farm has been staggering.”
Sean – Head Chef
Sean, our head chef, is award-winning in his own right having won the national Teflon Diamond Standard Award Young Chef of the Year 2013 and finalist of the North West Young Chef of the Year 2019. With a passion for sustainability and provenance of food, Sean is already bringing new foodie concepts to the farm for our guests to enjoy.

Aiden – Sous Chef
Aiden has worked at the farm for a number of years and has risen up the ranks to become our Sous chef. He’s in charge of ordering food for events and weddings, writing up kitchen protocol, and is entirely capable of running the kitchen himself. Aiden goes to show that if you have the potential, The Wellbeing Farm will give you opportunities to achieve it!

Daniella – Lead Wedding and Events
Daniella is well known to our couples at the farm, as she is often the first smiling person they meet on their initial visit and continues to look after them every step of the way.
“I love the thrill and fast-paced nature of running events, and I think it’s different here to any other job. It’s especially amazing when you get to see a couple have a great day, it feels good knowing that you played a part in making their dreams come true. I’ve made good friends at the farm, including meeting my sassy twin, Jess!”
Jess – Wedding and Events
Jess joined the team in the summer of 2018 and is already co-ordinating weddings and events to an extremely high standard alongside Daniella and Chloe.
“I love that every event is so different and it’s great working with each couple to turn their ideas for their wedding day into reality. It’s rewarding to form relationships with the couples, we really get to know them over the time spent at their planning meetings, so when we deliver their wedding it’s so lovely to see it all come together.”
Chloe – Wedding and Events
Chloe is training to become a wedding and event coordinator alongside Daniella and Jess. She’s already showing great potential, with her excellent conversational skills and willingness to assist with any task.
“I love the flexibility of working at The Wellbeing Farm as I am picking up so much experience. No wedding is ever the same. The location is amazing; there’s not many places to work where you can look out of the window and see a llama casually strolling past!”
Charlotte – Office Coordinator
Charlotte joined us in 2014 doing odd jobs in the office, then working as one of our ad-hoc event staff and she has since risen through the ranks. She will very often be the friendly voice at the end of the phone, ready to answer any questions. And, if we have any international weddings, she also has a French with Italian degree from Bangor University under her belt, which is handy!
“I enjoy working at the farm because no day is ever the same – which means it is never boring! I like that every wedding is different and unique to each couple!”
Paula – Bar Manager
Paula is a ‘local lass’, working in customer service roles for many years, including Edgworth Post Office, and co-running the White Horse pub in Edgworth until joining us here on the farm. She ensures that everything runs smoothly during a wedding or event and she also has the VERY important job in ensuring that your wedding includes PLENTY of booze!!

Lydia – Bar Supervisor
Lydia is in charge of staff rotas and ensures that all weddings are fully staffed, so that they can run as smoothly as possible.
“I love working at the Farm because it’s always different. Whether it be a new prop to see, project to work on, or band to hear, you are never bored because there is always something brand new! And of course, I love seeing the animals!”
Pete – Grounds Maintenance and Animal Handler
Pete works closely with the alpacas, llamas, and donkeys, to ensure that they always remain the happy bunch that you see gallivanting around the farm. He also makes sure that the farm is always in perfect condition for every event. Plus, there’s almost nothing that Pete can’t fix!
“Coming from a high-pressure role as a manager in a butchers’ shop, it’s great to be able to work in a more relaxed environment. I get to work with the animals every day, they’re great fun to be around! I enjoy being in the outdoors, and the views of the countryside here are spectacular.”
Sue – Animal Handler
Sue has been a member of Team Wellbeing longer than most and knows all of our animals better than most, too. Sue has a particular soft spot for our two donkeys, Crackerjack and Gypsy-Rose, but makes sure all of the animals are well cared for and looked after!
“I’m a volunteer at the farm, so everything I do here, I do because I enjoy it! I love seeing my donkeys, Crackerjack and Gypsy-Rose, and working with my good friend Pete is a bonus. It’s always a pleasure to come up here and see the beautiful farm.”
Alex – General Assistant
Alex is our general assistant during the week, and still does the bar for the events. Any odd jobs that need doing, Alex is that guy; whether that be ensuring that all the props you need for your wedding are available or painting a cow statue!
“I love the variety of the job and spending time with Pete is a massive bonus”
Bobby – General Assistant
Bobby helps Pete out with any odd groundsman jobs, as well as pot-washing for our weddings.
Mathew – Multi-tasker
Mathew is the youngest member of Team Wellbeing and is already showing promising bar and hospitality skills!
Maxy – Top Dog
Maxy is lovely Cairn Terrier, always very welcoming and lively, with a huge personality. He’s proving very popular with dog lovers all around.
You may have noticed that a lot of our staff have a special place in their hearts for our animals. Yes, our llamas, alpacas, and donkeys are a joy to be around, whether they’re mingling with guests at events, or simply running around the fields of the farm. In what other office could you look out of the window to see two donkeys chasing a herd of llamas around a field?
You don’t have to be crazy to work here… but it helps?!
