Greater Manchester Wellbeing Series: Two Events Supporting Workplace Wellbeing

13 Mar 2026

Workplace wellbeing is becoming one of the most important conversations in modern business. As organisations look for ways to support their teams, initiatives like the Greater Manchester Wellbeing Series are helping to turn good intentions into meaningful action.

This growing civic initiative brings organisations together with a shared goal: improving everyday energy, focus and connection across workplaces in Greater Manchester.

Two events with one mission

The Greater Manchester Wellbeing Series is delivered through two major events designed to support workplace wellbeing in different ways.

First, the Greater Manchester Wellbeing Run & Walk takes place at Heaton Park on 21st May. This summer evening event offers colleagues the chance to come together after work, share the experience of movement, and cross the finish line alongside hundreds of other organisations.

Later in the year, the Greater Manchester Meditation Virtual Event takes place on 22nd October. This event allows teams to participate from their offices, homes or even local parks while learning simple techniques to improve focus, attention and calm.

Importantly, the meditation programme is science-backed and non-spiritual, making it accessible for everyone.

Year-round wellbeing support

In addition to the two events, every participant gains access to year-round wellbeing tools.

Participants receive access to both the Wisdom Wellbeing App and the Oxford Mindfulness App, giving teams practical resources that help turn a single day of inspiration into long-term healthy habits.

This ongoing support ensures workplace wellbeing does not stop when the event finishes.

A civic movement for healthier workplaces

The Greater Manchester Wellbeing Series is about more than individual events. Instead, it aims to create a broader movement supporting healthier and more connected workplaces across the region.

As Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, explains:

“Wellbeing shouldn’t be a privilege, it’s something that should be there for everybody. The Greater Manchester Wellbeing Series is a brilliant way for all workplaces to put the wellbeing of their people front and centre.”

By joining the series, organisations of every size can visibly invest in their teams while strengthening morale and connection.

Supporting initiatives that improve wellbeing

At The Wellbeing Farm, we believe businesses have a role to play in supporting initiatives that improve wellbeing and community connection.

That is why we are proud to highlight programmes like the Greater Manchester Wellbeing Series, which help organisations take practical steps to support their people.
