So, you’re all set to visit The Wellbeing Farm for an event filled with rustic charm, gorgeous views, and a few surprise guests (llamas, anyone?) – now you just need to figure out how to get here and get home safely. Whether you’re coming to a wedding, party, corporate event, or one of our legendary experiences, we know transport is an important part of the day. And if you’re planning to enjoy a tipple or two, we absolutely want you to travel stress-free. So here’s your ultimate guide to local taxi and coach travel near The Wellbeing Farm!
Taxi’s
Let’s start with taxis. We always recommend pre-booking your transport in advance—especially for evening events or if you’re visiting us at the weekend. We’re nestled in the beautiful Lancashire countryside, which means you won’t find a taxi rank just outside our gates. But don’t worry—we’ve got you covered with some trusted options.
First up, we encourage all our guests to use Uber where possible. If you already use the app, you’ll know how easy it is to book a ride at the tap of a button. Uber drivers cover our area and the app’s handy map will direct them straight to our location without you needing to explain a thing. If you’re travelling from Bolton or Bury, it’s usually no trouble to grab an Uber, and it’s great for splitting the fare with friends too.
If Uber’s not your thing, or if you’re after a more traditional option, our two favourite taxi firms are Elton Bullitt in Bury and Metro Cars in Bolton. They’re both reliable, friendly, and know exactly where we are, which means no awkward directions on the phone
Elton Bullitt is based in Bury and they’re excellent if you’re travelling from the North Manchester area. You can book online via eltonbullitt.co.uk or give them a ring – they’re punctual, professional, and used to farm-bound partygoers.
Metro Cars is your go-to if you’re coming from Bolton or surrounding areas. With a modern fleet and easy online booking at metrocarsbolton.com, they’re another top choice Plus, they’ve got options if you’re coming in a small group and want a larger vehicle.
Now, if you’ve got a bigger group coming—maybe you’re arranging travel for a wedding party. If you are organising a company away day—then Moving People is our recommended coach company. We’ve worked with them time and time again and they really know their stuff. Including when it comes to comfortable, safe, and professional group travel. You can check them out at movingpeopleltd.co.uk and they offer a range of vehicle sizes from mini-coaches to full-size buses, depending on how many people you’re bringing to the party.
One important note—because we’re out in the countryside, we can’t stress enough how useful it is to book your return journey in advance, especially if you’re not staying locally. Taxis do not regularly pass by, and spontaneous rides can be tricky late at night. So once you’ve sorted your trip to us, make sure you’ve arranged how you’re getting home. Our team is always happy to help you coordinate this if needed—just ask!
A few extra tips to keep your travel smooth and simple:
- Make sure your driver has our full address (we’ll include it in your event info)
- Allow plenty of time—country lanes are beautiful, but they can also be winding and slow!
- Share transport if you can – it’s cheaper, greener, and more fun
- Let your taxi know it’s The Wellbeing Farm – not all sat navs get it quite right, but local firms will!
And finally, if you’re staying over nearby, don’t forget to check with your accommodation—they may be able to help you book or even offer shuttle services.
We hope that helps take the stress out of your travel plans! However you choose to get here, we can’t wait to welcome you.
Bring your dancing shoes, your best smile, and leave the driving to someone else.
If you fancy staying over here are some comfy beds for the night.
